Need a little help fine tuning my rides. I raised the clip 1 notch and now the bike idles low and even dies after letting off the throttle. How do I adj the air/fuel screw when it is plugged? Do i DRILL it out if so will it void the warrenty?

RIck

If you moved the clip to the next higher notch, you have leaned the mixture. Is that what you meant to do? Where they running rich?

It's running rich how do i adj the idle screw when there is a plug over it. I might put it back a go to a small jet I ride at 2500 ft and above. this week i'm going to big bear cali and it starts at 6300 ft

I dont see how removing the plug would void the warrenty. To remove it, frill a small hole in and insert a long self tapping screw. Then just use some vice grips to pull it out. Also, if the idle is to low, you can adjust it by turning the **** on the cable coming off the carb. It is located on the left side of the machine just about the clutch cover, under the exhuast tube for the clutch.

I drilled out the plugand there is a clip and no adj screw! Now what? I want to richen the carb on the idle circuit. I guess i'll go back to the stock RICH setting on the clip and change a jet size. Any ideas on how many steps i should take out of it?

That is odd that there is no screw! There should be. They havent changed the carb at all (that I am aware of)
