How experienced overall do you feel you are on your quad?[your own judgement]

Lets go from 1 to 10.
1-Is a begining rider with very little or no ATV experience

5-Will be an 'AVERAGE'' ATV rider.

10-Is the best there is.

I'll start,

In mud?8-9
Hills?7-8
Trails?7

That is just about all the riding types I do,so there it is.===Bill

Bill, you're too modest--I rate you "perfect tens" in every category!

In mud- 6
Trails- 9
Hills- 8.5

Experience- 15 years

Maybe I listed myself higher than I should have, but its hard to tell what real good would be. I'm not near the best at anything, but I can ride the thing.

I ride mostly trails and a lot of hills. Trails are of course easier to manage and everyone should have a high rating there. I don't ride much mud, so I wouldn't call myself major experienced there. I ride a lot of hills, but I would consider a person like ChickenMan better at hills than me. Mainly because he has a lot more areas to ride in, and he has done it. Still though, I consider myself very good in hills. There are a lot of places to test yourself in the Ozark Mountains.

mud-8
trails-7
hills-6 ( endovers warrior 4, Trailboss 2, Mag 500 1, explorer 400 0 (just give me time))
I have been riding quads for about 8 years and bouncing off the rocks on the way down hurts a lot more now than it did when I was in my 20s. ( it didn't feel so great back then)

Here goes:

Mud: 8.5 ............... Love it!

Hills: 7 .......Getting better but like mud better.

Trails: 8 .........Trails are trails!

Repairs/maintenance on my own ATV's: 4.....getting there!

These figures are just my personal views and not meant to be either underated or pretentious. They are compared with the people I ride with. It also depends on what the other riders rate themselves in comparison. One man's 10 is another man's 7...

Good idea for a post!

20 years experience on Dirt Bikes, 3 and 4- wheelers, been on the 4-wheels since 1987.
I'll try to be conservative in my rating.

As a mud rider I am a definate average 5

Woods riding in technical trails is my strength. I ussually can stretch out here. 8

Hills, we have very few here in the Lowcountry so I'll say 7.

One thing I'd love to be able to experience some day is ''Rock Hopping''.Gordon Banks used to talk alot of that and it is my guess that he is very good at this type of riding. We just dont have the rocks in Michigan to do that type of riding,so for now,I'd have to give myself a 0 in Rock hopping.

I know Tree Farmer is giving me a perfect ten in every category and I thank him for his generousity, however,Tree Farmer,We are not refering to my appearance,so therefore I stick to my previous ratings. [lol]===Bill

Mud - 7
Trails - 8
Hill Climbing 5
Riding Safely and Having fun - 10
Beer drinking and b.s. ing after a good day of riding - 10

Been riding for 20 years, but mostly in Northwest Ohio, which has no hills at all. Just started heading down to southern Ohio and learning to navigate the hill climbs.

Bill
If you want to experience some rocky hills, head down to the Wayne National Forest in southern Ohio. Lots of rocky hill climbs.

Gordon Banks is an outstanding rider, Bill; he graced the First Annual Quads, On-the-Rocks! ride, where he demonstrated his considerable skill. Although the rocks there weren't up to his ususal demanding standards, he did acknowledge the quarter-mile along Taker's Run as at least modestly, "challenging;" this passage was no obstacle to Gordon.

I claim unique expertise in only one riding category; Handlebar Vaulting. I've scored very high in this soon-to-be Olympic event; yet, modesty compels me to admit, I still need work on my landing.
