Default Scramber 400 4x4

I'm new here and after a few years of not riding much I now own my 96 scramber 400 back!!!(yeah) My problem is most of my friends at work have warrior/400 Ex's that have mods done to them. I want to keep up so I'm looking for mods that can do that. Been searching the internet and E-bay without much success. Any tips on what I should get? and maybe a website or two that sells the items I need?

Thanks a ton for any help

First off, let them beat you on the straight ways, and then just take them up hills or in the mud. they'll be asking people how mod there bikes to keep up w/ you . I do suggest just wait till "bigbadscrambler" answers this. If knows alot about the scramblers.

G Luck

in my opinion i wouldnt do anything just to keep up w/ them bikes.

I'm also new to this forum, but I also have a scrambler 400 4x4, and have been combing everywhere for tips and mods. Definatly listen to all these guys advice, "BigBad Scrambler", "Scramblered", "RickRitter" these guys know there game, you can check out some websights, AAENperformance.com, etc... theres some great kits for scramblers there, HPD also makes good clutch kits along w/ there pipes and silencers, everyone has told me to say awoy from DG, and FMF performance pipes and sthe like for a POlaris scrambler 400. It all comes down to how much you want to spend to keep up with your buddies. find out Rick Ritters # and give him a call, I've heard he's very reliable, gernerous and patient he isn't satisfied until you get all your questions answered. Good luck and happy trails

Like the others have mentioned, it comes down to how much you want to spend. You can do Ricks Stage 1 kit (pipe, silencer, clutch mods, air filter, air box mods, and jets for $325 w/ free shipping). The best bang for your buck deal. You can step it up to the trail mod kit from HPD (www.hpd-inc.com) which is around 60hp, or their race mods kit (75hp) or even their powermaxx kit (85+ hp). I dont know what kind of riding you do, but the trail mod kit will easily take those other machines. The 400L motor has LOADS of potential. Definately do what the others suggested and give Rick a call. He is absolutely awsome to work with. He is also an HPD dealer as well as his own products.

Definatly give Rick a call. The 400 Scrammy will take those quads in a drag with a few mods like pipe and clutch kit.
They will have a hard time keeping up with you. See my signature for my mods, very happy. I have beat a Z400 in a drag.
