My belt is original and i wonder how long it will last. Is there a power advantage to a new belt?

The belts get more narrow with age, for $32, I would get a new DaycoMax belt.

Where do you buy the Dayco Max belt? What makes it better than the stock Polaris belt? Is it more durable?

my origanal belt lasted 7 years, and yes a new belt will give you more power if your old one is really wore out

Mine has 3000 miles & going strong. Use low range like you should & I have seen them go 7000. I have heard GoodYear belts are just a hair shorter than the Polaris belts & will gain you a little more top speed, but that it may creep a little when first new. Haven't wore a belt out yet (my old 400 Xpress had almost 6500 miles) so can't tell you firsthand. Can be gotten anywhere you can buy Goodyear automotive belts. Cost was $25, I think.

The belts should last for a long time, at least 3500 miles. They are fairly cheap to buy, and it is a good idea to keep an extra on hand.

I have actually seen in two instances were a new belt actually slowed the machines down. Both of these quads were Sportsmans.

My step dad has a 1992 350L, it still has the original belt on it.
The other posts are correct, a new belt will usually give you better performance.
