We went riding this past weekend in upstate NY. I noticed that my girlfriends trailboss was constantly getting water in the cltuch housing. I went through the same stuff on my Scrammy without a prioblem. I know the clamps are tight at the connection, and that the seal around the cover is good. I think it must be coming in through the exhuast duct. Has anyone ever made an extension? Could you post pics? Thanks ------Paul

it isn't a scrambler, but this guy has a great set up, and you can do something similar.

I am not sure how far up your stock pipe goes, but you may be able to use a similar idea. The sportsman goes up between the tank and the plastic so the water has to be high in order to get in. I would really check the seal first. When you take the cover off the gasket may look okay, but if it has a slight gap it will leak water in. Mine did that when I first got it. Check to see if hers is as high as yours for the stock pipe ont eh clutch cover, and if it is then it must be a leak in the gasket, or a hole you didn't see.

Hi. The snorkel for the cvt on the Trail Boss is fairly high. Was the water over the cvt snorkel ? How fast was she hitting the water? I have had My 2003 Trail Boss 330 in some deep nasty water with no problems. The front will float up and the stay dry if she sits back towards the rear rack. IF I HIT the water with speed it will splash up into my cvt snorkel and cause some problems. If you are sure it is not the seal ( it should not be if the wheeler is somewhat new ) It is most likely water splashing into the snorkel.
