Default THUMB THROTTLE EXTENSION

DO NOT BUY THIS IT'S DANGEROUS I bought one from cabellas $25 for the adjustible one put it on my sportsman 500 and found that you have very little control. It makes the lever longer to reduce strain on your thumb and hand.all it does is make the throttle extremely sensitive.
I heard from a couple of other people who tried it and they said the same thing so save your money

Default THUMB THROTTLE EXTENSION

I have used them before, and its just like adding a twist throttle, just takes some getting used to, and heck, its cheap, so if you find you don't like it take it off.........

I like it, my wife likes it, and no they're not on all machines, but I can think of worse mods to waste money on......

Default THUMB THROTTLE EXTENSION

Anyone know where to purchase a replacement throttle control piece? Not the whole assembly, just the thumb peice? I snapped mine riding a bit too roughly.

Thanks

Ken

Any modification is dangerous if not used properly! You don't modify a throttle control and go ***** to the wall right out of the box, gotta go slow and easy till you get used to the feel.

Good luck Ken, If you find one post it. I looked for about a week or two and had to break down and buy the entire thing. Polaris doesn't offer a part # for just that piece. I hope you find one.

My Mom had one on her Sportamans 400 and it worked great. It was not the adjustable one but it worked great.
