Default blowin' smoke

I tried this in another area, and got no responce, so I am trying here (where I've had lots of luck before)
I have a little 100 that burns oil and smokes. I'm thinking if I buy new rings it should be fixed. Any ideas? It has a lot of power so I don't think it more, but I want some opinions. I don't know if I'd know by looking at everything whether they were good or not when I get it apart.

Well with the 4 stroke 100 it may not just be your rings. It could also be your valve stem seals. You would have to pull the head to have that checked. Good luck.

Do a compression test first. If the compression is low, even though it still runs good, it is probably your rings. If the compression is good, then I would look more into the valve seals like Davesp mentioned
