Has anyone tried a different muffler on the Sportsman/Magnum in an effort to increase performance?

I rode with a guy at Wayne National Forest a while back, he had a Magnum 500 with a Supertrapp on it, he could lift the wheels and ride a decent wheelie on that monster.
