belts blowing
#3
That's the biggest culprit. I have almost 900 miles on my 600, and when I took the cover off to change my weights, the belt still looked like new. Use LOW for any mudding, pulling, or climbling, and everything below 15 mph.

What do you mean by the belts "Blew"? If a belt "blows" then it is a defect in the belt. The most that they machine will do to the belt is make it slip and smoke the belt. This is usually caused by being in HIGH instead of LOW, or misaligned clutches, broken motor/tranny mounts, or other internal problems with the clutches

I agree. The only time a belt spins is when you should of been using low. So many folks think its macho to stay in high when in fact it is bad for there quad and the belt. Not to mention you lose performance. For low speeds and mudding and climbing using high is the worst thing you can do to your quad.
