My friend is looking at a 99 400 sport for $1600.00 is this a good deal? He said it looked like new and run great just has a few small rips on the seat. How good are these and do they last? Thanks

 

400 sports are awesome. They can be made to have lots and lots of power. I sold my 96 sport(in really good condition(new plastic and fresh motor--440cc)) for about 2,000 on trade for a predator. I would say the price is about right. The newer the better on them too, now he has concentric drive too. I would say if he is looking for a good quad(and that is what he is looking for) then go for it.


If he only has that much money is what I'm saying here, then go for it.......if he has more, and is willing to spend it, then you can find some pretty good deals on 03 predators and z400's and stuff............

 

I like the 99 Sport better than any other model out there. The price seems right, but look it over real good for areas like work swingarm bushings and loose steering bushings. If they are real bad then the bike has seen some time on it, but also remember that it's 5 years old now.

yeah i have a 96 sport and i just bored it out and stuff and it has alot of power already. Im very happy with it.

Well my friend bought it today and paid $1750.00 for it he tought he could get it for $1600.00 but they wondn't come down. It looks to be pretty nice it needs 2 tierod ends and a clutch cover. It has RCR ritter sickers and a wisco pistion sticker and they said it had just been bored and freshen up. Ritter is that rick ritter? Thanks for all the info.
