i was thinking of going up a size(up to 26),on my tires and get a more agressive tire than the stock dunlops.if i go up a size my choices are limited due to the back wheel being 10 inch, most aftermarket tires are for 12 inch wheels..i was thinking of staying with the 25 inch height and going with a set of more agressive tires like bi and tri claws.if i go to 26 inch for stock wheels the only tire i could find were the blackwaters..any help opinions would be apreciated, like would smaller but more agressive mean less wear than taller with less agressive tread be? i dont think a halfinch of clearance will make that much difference..i do 50-60% mud, rivers etc. and 30-35% trails and the rest a little rock climbing..thanks again

The Good Year Mud Runner is a great tire, and is available 26x12x10 to fit the stock wheel.
TREADEPOT.COM is about $30.00 or so cheaper than anyone else per tire. The MR is a good tire all around and lighter than most.
Good Luck.

I bought the 25" Bearclaw and they are incredible! The ITP Blackwater and the Super Swamper are also worth a look. You do not need to change wheels to double your traction. I was amazed what a difference tires made.

Chaparral Racing's prices are quite competetive. $116 for a pair delivered.

If you want an aggressive mud tire get the Vampires. They make them in 26" that fit the stock wheels.

thanks for the input, looks like ill be looking for prices on the mudrunner..on the advice by rangerchet,i understand getting lighter is better but with the damage the wheels incur as the trails around here arent very wide i cant see buying nice shiny wheels whether there alum or steel at least until the stock wheels are beat..it doesnt appear the mudrunner is alot heavier than the stock dunlops.so ill be lookng into prices for the 26 inch

I think you'll like the Mudrunners. treadepot is the cheapest place to get them that I could find and believe me, I looked hard. I think my bill was $335 for the 26" Mudrunners.

I would be carefull, I broke out the center of the rear stock wheels when i switched to GBC Dirt Devils. I broke one shortly after I put them on and the other last weekend. I put ITP steel wheels on and have not seen any trouble. I ride hard, but not that hard.
