Im trying start this to see if its worth fixing. I had spark thursday. The only thing i did was take the carb off and clean it out. Put it back on and now no spark.

Id be willing to try any suggestions.

Im going to check all the connections on the wiring harness now.

 

Some other things to check, battery good and hooked up?kill switch on , in nuetral?

 

there is no battery, its in neutral. I need a wiring diagram because who ever had it unplugged the key switch and did some rigging. I must have moved one of the wires when i took out the chock cable.

I need to get a diagram or picture of exactly what goes in what plug and what they do.

did oyu pull the spark plug to make sure it's not fouled out???? just my 2 cents!

 

Update:

Tires are holding air exept 1 front one that needs a valve stem. Brakes work cables are not frozen and are working freely. I have to make sone adjustments and clean up the rear disk (rust). Ignition is going to be a problem. Some of the wires are cut and not being used they were taped off. I had spark when i got it but i moved something. When i get the service manual for it it should be able to start.

Question: Should I use the oil injector or should I premix? If i premix Can I get a block off kit for the oil injector? I have one on my 99 sport 400. But this is a 1987. I was told the injector works but I dont know.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

ps. if anyone has a good pic of the key switch and plugs that would be great. I have the print out from the parts diagram but it doesnt have too much detail and i cant figure anything out.

 

If no one comes up with a wiring diagram, try the local public library. A quad of that vintage will most likely have a service manual there. Its in the 629. area.
