just got my 800 a couple of days ago for 7800 $ out the door and 400$ worth off goodies for free to go with it . i rode about 7 milees since i got it and i love every thing about it except when you let out of the throttle sounds like something coming apart as it slows down sometimes sounds worse than others. any body else noticed any noise in the driveline. my 700 had the famous clank but they seemed to fix that but now somthing else i s makin noise.theres alot of power and ump with this machine you better hold on!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]Text

 

All the SP's have driveline noise. If it didnt have noise then it's not a Polaris. LOL!!!

sound like your belt hitting maybe? I've heard complaints about that on the 800. one guy said he's shreaded a belt already.

 

Its normal. Mine has it bad, definately turns heads hehe. This really clinks and clanks when the ebs is working and the back wheels are slipping while using the brake. The ebs on this is the best I ever head - it litereally slows me down to almost a halt wihtout brakes down hill. When its at its worst is when I am going down a steep hill and using the brakes. since the rear wheels are slipping - I have been feathering the throttle while braking. Wonder if they will ever devise a way to make all four wheels react with the EBS.

 

yeah its really impressive, i wonder if the strength of the EBS goes up with the strength of the engine, probebly so, but ive also noticed that EBS dosnt work to well when your slowing down from high speeds

 

Anybody know the gap of the 800 spark plugs? I have a nice hesitation on full throttle. Sputters a little The dealer told me its the same plug as the 04- 700. Any tricks to change these plugs? Right side looks pretty easy not the left. Thanks all..

 

According to the manual, the gap is the same as the 700 EFI:
Plug: RC7YC
Gap: .035in / 0.9mm

 

where did u still your 800 out the door for 7800. i give 7900. for my 05 700 efi. they still havent got the 800,s in alabama but they said when they get them they will sell for about 84 to 8500.

 

Few things to keep in mind. Your OTD price may include things like sales tax and his may not. 7800 OTD (without tax) is easily gotten.
