Default Polaris PXT tires???

Last year I had a 2004.5 500 with the Badland tires and I got a sidewall rip while riding on a well maintained forest service road. I only had 300 miles on the atv when this occured. They also threw rocks in every direction and to often the rocks even were hitting me. The only problem I've seen with the PXT's is the rubber is pretty soft. The lugs seem to shread pretty easily in rocks. I'm not talking about real jagged rocks either. Surprisingly to me the PXT's did not do as well as the Badlands when plowing snow.

Carlisle warrantees the tires for two years.
Contact them through their website and you can get a replacement.

Silverbullet rode his badlands last weekend with me at Bull Gap ORV in Michigan and at the Hatfield McCoy Trails w/o a problem.

Default Polaris PXT tires???

So my right rear tire that now has 4 tire plugs and a can of stop leak in it to fix the 3/4" cut in the face is still holding air for now... but what is the best way to have it permanently fixed before our long ride on memorial day weekend??? My friend got the goodyear radial
tire on his AC fixed. He had a large piece of wire in it. They removed the plugs we installed on the trail, patched the tire on the inside, then installed a radial tube. Is this the best fix???? They also told him it might not hurt to install tire slime into all of his tires. Seems to
me that after spending money on tubes and slime to make these tires as dependable as they should be... I might have been better
off if I had paid the extra for tires like the mudrunners I had on the 600.

Just buy a new tire or talk to Carlisle and see if they will replace it, many have with success.

Well said Aaron,
To me they are the best all around tire available. No puncture problems here. The lug design is great. They did awesome in the snow this year. They did so well JimmyP couldn't pass me in a snow drag race.

I will buy another set.

Thanks guys for helping. I guess I just wanted reassurance that I made the right coice in keeping the stock tires. My dealer assured me also that these tires aren't any more prone to punctures than my old mudrunners were. I will see if I can get the tire patched, I would call
Carlisle for help but in all honesty I think I may have hit a jagged edge of an old steel culvert when we rode down an abanded logging
rode. It's "camp 7" road for those who have ridden in Iron county Wi.

Many, many years ago I had a new Wolverine that I was riding down a road that once used to be a bed for railroad tracks. Damn if I didn't get a railroad spike stuck in one of the tires. That sure ruined that trip in a hurry. If you think that is bad many decades ago I had a new set of retreads on the back of my pickup and I somehow got an open end wrench stuck in one of the tires. Think it was about a 7/16".
