Tire pressure?

What was the ride height change with the progressive springs ??? Did you get the kit with the preload adjustment??? I saw an atv site that sells "firm" springs for rear of SP700 - about 30 lb/in more tension. Mabey that would be the way to go, although I don't want to get beat to death when riding for hunts. How much change in recoil did you get when swapping to the progressive kit. Does it jar your teeth out???

I bought the kit because Progressive had a 'Press Release' saying they had new progressive springs for the '05....but they don't....the Black springs were their springs, made for the 2004 and earlier models....the Red springs were the stock springs from my 2005....as you can see you can't put the Progressive springs on the 2005 as the 2005 has much more travel and the stock springs are progressive rated springs....

I see.......... From the pic - It looked like the shorter spring might have had a higher compression rating - I assume you sent them back. Mabey someone with the older susp. like mine can share some insight. Very impressive picture gallery by the way. Thanks for your help.

I sold them to one of our forum members.....I heard they are definitely an improvement on the front end of the '04 and before machines....they have an adjuster that goes under the springs, so you can change load easily with the turn of a wrench....from what i've heard, when the adjuster is in the softest setting, they are about the same as stock, but progressive....alittle better feeling....then you can change as you need from there, like if you are running a plow on the front end, would definitely help....or if you load the racks...or if you ride and turn hard....
when I told Progressive that their website was wrong, they said 'oops, our marketing guy screwed up, let me see what we can do for you'....last I ever heard from them, and that was the manager of engineering that I talked to....

I would run around 10psi, if the tire can take that much psi. IMO after 50 miles of road use you wouldn't have much tire left.

where do you ride that you are putting that many miles on pavement....I wish in NM that ATVs could be made street legal....we have to register the damn things, so why not let them be street legal.....I could see pulling in to work on my 700 EFI...lol
