i want to put a scrambler hood on my sport, but the black ones that i want dont have the whole for the oil for sports, i seen red one for one of the years of scrambler but i want it in black, so has anyone ever drop the oil tank down a little bit so the hood will fit on?? cuz i dont want to have to go through the troble of getting rid on the oil injections? any suggestions

 

if you dont mind keeping the headlight then you could get one from a 03 trailblazer 400..

 

no thats just it i want to lose the headlight, thats the main reason, plus i think it looks cool.

 

you should'nt have a problem dropping the oil tank down a little.if i remember right the oiltank cap doesnt bottom out on the threads right?maybe you could cut some of the threads off so the cap screws down further?you shouldnt need much to clear the hood..

 

im pretty sure there are black nose pieces wit a hole and no light i think ive seen some

 

try a 95 -96 scrambler 400 4x4 hood no light and a oil hole

 

ok sweet i found it, the 95's have black ones, is there such place to order one of them from that year, i look on ebay but there never that old of ones?

 

i justs looked on partsland.com and they want $50.00 for one. i dont want to pay that much

I'm looking to go the other way, I have a 99 SCRAMBLER and want to add the hood with the headlight to mine. I would offer to make a deal with you but my hood is red. If you do find the hood you want let me know what you would want for yours, I would prefer a black one myself, but I have no problem painting one.

 

Dude just do away with the injection system ,Not that hard also these injection systems are not known for there reliability Premix 40:1 And you know you will always be getting enough oil!!!!!!
