Default HELP FAST!!!!

I just got a new chain for my sport 400 and it was to long so i cut in down to match the old one same links and everything and now its to small. but it has the same amount of links as my old one whatz going on???

the old one stretched. did u cut it to the same number of links or length? are u sure u have the axle carrier adjusted right? just a few ideas. im not really sure though

Default HELP FAST!!!!

ok when i layed it out next to the old one the old one was longer, so i compressed it, so now am i f-ed er what, the links are the same number, i counted!!! how

Default HELP FAST!!!!

DONT PANIC so you cut the chain too short.Roll the carrier to the point where the chain is closest.Add the piece you cut off to the master link.If you have an older quad with non concentric setup compress the shock if it is concentric let it set level.See how much you need to add and cut off the rest.Get you a second master link and you are good to go.Now remember to double check before cutting next time.BEEN THERE DONE THAT[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

ok i got another link thanx, but the back bolts that you loosen up to tighten the chain, i was tightening them back up but i got it tight but the bolt still moves arond but i cant tighten it ne more???

Sounds like your threads are gone,you will need a new bolt.Man you are having a bad day,don't touch anything else till tommorow.Just joking.

Try putting a large washer under the nut
