Default Polaris HD front spring part#

Does anyone know the Polaris part# for the heavy duty front springs for a 2004.5 Sportsman 500HO? I stopped at my dealer on the way home and they had no clue as to what I was talking about. I heard that these springs are the stock springs on a sportsman 6x6-is this true? any replies would greatly be appreciated.

They are actually the stock springs for the 700. It could be for the 6x6 as well, I am not sure. Just ask them you want to buy a pair of 700 front springs. Polaris actually has a book/reference guide for upgrading springs. It says that the 700 springs are the upgraded springs for the 500 if you have a winch or plow mounted. They cost me around $60 for the pair. I have a 2004.5 500 and it made a difference. It handles better in my opinion. Fact-- It does not bottom out any more and it lifted the front about an inch. Well worth the money, I think. I installed them myself, by myself and it took about 2 hours to complete both sides. I had to replace a boot on one side, so with some help and no boot to replace, you should be able to replace them fairly quickly. I hope I have answered your questions. Good luck and Happy trails!
