frozen starter solenoid?
#1
any one here had any problems with their starter solenoid freezing up and not fuctioning after riding in the cold or snow?
we just got dumped on the other day and i was out having a blast! until i shut it off at the gas station. went to start it up and,,,,, click, click. kinda freeked me out. good thing that there is a pull start option. it started no problem.
when i got it home, i tested the battery and it was fine. but noticed the the solenoid was kinda packed with snow. i got the hair dryer out and thawed it out. after i did that it worked fine.
kinda puzzles me,

Mine would click like that after it had set for awhile. It was not the solonoid, but but the brushes in the starter were corroded and it had to be rebuilt. I replaced the solonoid too with a $13 one from the local hardware store
