BACK UP LIGHTS
#2
not factory....but you can always get a set of 12v lights and mount them in various positions on the rear and put a switch in the pod....you just have to be careful, don't get big ole' driving lights, the burn way too much power....
i will also suggest that maybe you wire in to an 'ignition hot' wire so that you don't leave them on while riding...

You do not really want to put a switch on it because I have seen more people leave them on and kill a battery or ride with them on. It is very easy to hook the light up to the tranny. Just get a 12v light for the rear and mount it. Take the hot wire from the light and hook it to the battery. Then take the ground wire and hook it to the brown wire from the harness that goes to the tranny. Thats it! When you put it in reverse the light will come on and when you go to neutral or forward it will go off.

if you put on a lighted switch, thats best, I plan on replacing my '05 work light switch with a lighted switch..

I guess you could hook it up either way. If I need a work light then I just keep it in reverse. That way I know for sure I will never leave the light on. Just thinking ahead thats all. I did not mean to shoot your idea down either. Sorry!

Your local napa auto parts type store will have good lights for this..they are about 10-12 bucks each, rubber cased all weather. I have 5 of them under my jeep so the spotter can see the rocks at night. I also am not a fan of passing amperage of lights through a switch to power lights. I would recommend using a relay. I would set this up a little different than the other 2 ideas (even though they will definately work)... I will use both. I would use a relay that has two (2) input control signals. wire straight from the battery thru the relay to the lights to ground. I would wire the one control side of the relay to the tranny(brown wire I believe was mentioned), and the other control side to a switch so that I could have them on if I wanted them on.
