In 1999 I bought a polaris xpedition 425 cc 5 -speed. The only 5 speed they ever made except for the
325 xpedition. The same atv really. I have over 3 000 miles on it now. When I bought it. The reverse actuator called the black box had a recall on it. Polaris replaced it. Then my sensor that turns on the fan went out and polaris replaced it at no cost to me. Then I had to learn that just using a garden hose at home to clean my rad. was not good enough. Now I go to car wash and use a high pressure hose. I broke a hose in the atv from a tree branch and still the atv rode me to my truck. I have never had to walk out of the woods. Never. Limped out but made it back. So how can I ever say anything bad about polaris. They actually made the smoothest 5 speed over any other brand. no clutch, just shift up and down with a yellow button to push when putting it in reverse. I can put my atv in 4x4 drive and its lowest gear while continually moving. Even the polaris auto's. you have to stop to shift from high range to low range. Besides riding with people for fun, I use my atv for grouse hunting in northern minnesota and I hunt alone. Thus I need a reliable atv. My xpedition is very reliable. I have been to the polaris factory in Roseau Minneosta as I have a friend and his wife both work there. My next atv is going to be the newest year model sp 500 H.O., when the time comes. They made that atv just the way a sportsmen would want an atv to be. Since I ride in northern minnesota. They can be tough miles on the logging roads and swamps here. I love my P O L A R I S!!
