Default sp 800 power mods

Hey guys, anyone finding any small/big mods that are helping the power on the new 800? Ive got one, and the power is great, but there could always be more. Ive heard that the k and n filters help a lot, but im not too convinced on their effectiveness on trucks, but maybe atv's are different. Any clutch springs, ... ive heard about the power commander, but have heard that there is no map out for them yet. If any thing comes to mind, let me know!

I'm trying a couple of Dalton springs for the clutch. Just waiting for them to come in. I have a K&N filter on order and plan on getting the Powercommander. I will let you know how they work.

as far as for the engine, the K&N filters add about 8MPH to the top end, someone is probebly going to come in and bitch at me for saying this and call me a liar, but from my personal experience with my 800, its true. also along with the power commander, its $249.95 and all it basicly does is removes the motor from california emmissions standards takeing the emission stranglehold it has on the motor letting it run at optimal efficiency and power. the maps for it are on the power commander website, one for a stock 800, and another called a 0 map, if anyone has any info on the 0 map please post, i would appreiticate it, as im getting a power commander for my 8 in march.

Hey Spyder. I thought I would update you on the exhaust modds we were talkingabout the other day. I brought my SP800 back to Kansas with me last weekend to take into the shop this week for the dyno test and to explore the options for building a custom exhaust. I was studying the factory setup pretty close last Sunday and discovered the factory setup is basicley a fake or just for looks or something. after taking some measurements it seems that the aftermerket slipon pipes that are on the market now will fit. It would however change it to a single muffler though, but I am afraid that based on the way Polaris did it buy just piping one muffler over to the other thats all there will ever be unless polaris makes something. Its my geuss though that a good free flowing aftermarket single pipe will still flow better than stock mufflers. I do kinda hate to loose the cool looks of the duel mufflers but I still would like to make it sound better and get a little more performance.

how fast would your 800 go before and after the k and n filter? Its been so snowy here i haven't even had it opened up on top yet. What can i look forward to? I could get 66 out of my 650 cat, i guess i don't expect much more than that...
