Default polaris plow trbl

When I let out the plow cable that lifts and lowers the frame, the frame assembly that swings down sometimes folds back the wrong way. Then I am unable to lift the plow frame. I then have to let out the cable enough to unfold the pivit arm. This happens mostly when the plow is down and thier is alot of slack in the cable and the plow goes up and over a large amount of snow and the plow drops way down. It gets old after a couble of times. I am wondering if I have the part on back words...Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated...

If your using the Polaris Glacier plow are you making sure once you have the plow attached to the frame that you push the slide locking slide pin over and turn it into position which acts as a safety so the latch doesn't remove itself from the mount? just a simple basic check. I guess your post was sort of confusing.

Do you have the polaris plow? I am a little confused on what the problem is? When you say cable are you referring to the winch cable to lift the plow?

Thank-you all, I will try and check every thing once again. I live in CT so it's been alittle cold to do work on bike. The problem piece is the mounting bracket that keeps folding back towards the rear of bike when the plow is lowered to low. I am using the winch cable to lower and raise assembly...
