Default '04 sp 400 front end problems

My front end is wanting to be in four wheel drive all the time. It doesn't matter were the switch is.
Any suggestions.
Also, I bought a used White brothers pipe for my bike and just got around to putting it on. I haven't put a K&N on yet. What would be a good jet size to up to. I'm doing most of my riding at about 2k-3.5k ft..

Thanks for any help

Do a search on the front end problem theres been alot of posts even recemntly.
Most people first recamend changing the fluid.

My pure polaris/white bros. silencer for the 700 said no jetting required but you may want to start by going up one on the main if it was already properly jetted for that altitude.

I know I ned to do something about the jetting. I went riding today with just the pipe installed. It wanted to crap out and pop at the higher RPM'S. I took the air box lid off just to see. Sure enough, i started to pop a lot sooner, and more violently.
I wil do a search on the front end issue. I don't really hang out on this site. I just come around with question to performance and problem issues.Hey... at least I know were to come.

Thanks

Mine (700) won't even run with the lid off.
Sounds like your lean.
