OK, anyone line up the 700 and 800
I raced my 2005 700EFI against a 800EFI. The race went like this, the 800 and 700 are close 0-10 after that the 800 jumps infront about 4 bike lengths. The 800 pulls the 700 the whole race and has around 3 MPH more topend. The person on the 800 also weighed about 80lbs more than me. I will say after 40MPH they are closer, but the take off on the 800 is unreal.

I agree with Aaron from my test rides of the 800, the low-end has greater acceleration/torque than the 700....when you get to upper end, the acceleration is pretty close....the 800 does have more top-end of course, but my 700 seems to go pretty quick on the topend....I know one of the magazine tests had the top speed at 60 mph....I think that was only over a short distance, I've had mine with the stock tires up to 68 mph on the GPS....but like I said that was on a slight downhill on a hard pack dirt road...but I was at 6000 feet elevation.....on a flat I haven't checked it to see how it would do, I'm sure it would drop around 4 mph from my other run.....

bottom end is one thing but it kinda bugs me to hear alot of guys wanting to know what top speed is on a ute or which one is faster in a race. I mean come on guys these machines are for work/play, woods and trail riding, some mudding etc. Lets face it, these machines are not made to drag race or do wheelies on even though we love to do it anyways. I am not trying to put anyone down I am just venting I guess. sorry if this is taken the wrong way.

We want it all. 4x4, stump pulling torque, and g-force.

that's cool cuz I am the same way but what about the whole top speed thing? how often do you guys drag race down the road to care what the top speed is? I did it once down the road when I first got my 700EFI and it was about 73MPH but it took awhile to get there. this means nothing when I am only going 20-25 in the woods/trails though ya know.
