Wolverine vs. scrambler

yo man... I like the scrambler alot. I just dont like the chain drive, and awd, sumtimes that awd will kick in wen your stuck.... I chose the wolvy because I am 5'1 and the wolvy is small for me to manuver. But admit it, for a 500 scrambler, its kinda slow.... The wolvy is about 5 mph slower on top speed, and I dont know about acceleration, the scrambler probably wins, but the wolvy gets through those gears fast for a 350...

Hey BigBaller. The Polaris chain drive on the Boss, Blazer and Scrambler is the best. Interesting thing about the chain drive is thats it a concentric system. The rotating point of the rear suspension is along the axis of the trans sprocket. The significance of that is that the chain does not go slack and tight as the rear suspension moves. It is a great design, and I often wonder why more manufacturers don't do it.

I seem to be in a unique position since I have a Scrambler and a Wolverine. This is my take on the subject, A scrambler will definitely outrun a Wolverine to the first mudhole where the Wolverine motors on by. I love the speed of my Scrambler and the rough terrain capabilities of my Wolverine.

No way I have out mudded all wolverines I have come across and gone more places in the snow too
But don't take my reaction the wrong way I almost bought a Wolverine when I was lookin for a quad they are a good bike But the only thing that they can do better than the Scram is utility work hauling things because of the scrams lack of a low range.
Now I do not know about all scrams or drivers but my 500 with me driving has had no problem going more places and I drive with few buddies that own wolverines
this was done with both bikes having stock tires.

IMHO, There is no comparison. Turning, shock travel, cubic inch, I don't see it. I'm sure its a great bike, I consider it a midsize utility bike. I can take my scrammy anywhere. I ride with a bunch of 4x4's and I go places they won't. Its all in the attitude, I know I can do it. Oh altitude helps to.
