Wolverine vs. scrambler
#3
I can bet that everyone here will agree that the Scrambler will kill the wolverine in everything. The Scrambler is a very tuff quad, lots of power, great for about anything. The only thing the wolverine would be on top is a more plush ride.

Better? Well, that depends on your standards and what makes a quad for you. I have a Wolverine that I seldom ride these days, but that's only because my requirments have changed. I can tell you which one is more likely to bring you home at the end of the day...hands down, that would be the Wolverine. If you were thinking about catching air...Wolverine. Nimble...Wolverine. Low maintenace...Wolverine. Spirited woods riding...Wolverine. I've gotta get there on 50 cents...Wolverine. You start talking about ; I want to get there in 50 seconds...Scrambler. See that mountain over there?...Scambler. Look at the size of that log in the trail...Scrambler. Man, look at the mess in that valley...Scrambler. the wife said I'm not riding without her today...Scrambler. Man, I don't think an alligator could climb out of that mud-pit...Scrambler. I want to be popular and fit-in...Scrambler.
What do YOU need, and then buy what fits you. I don't think it's so much which is better these days, as much as it is what you require in a quad, as they are ALL pretty good machines considering what they were ten years ago. The Woverine is a fine machine, but I weigh 250 pounds and look like an ape riding it. I like being able to turn the AWD off and slip the rearend, whereas you may not care that the Wolverine is full-time 4x4.

Bladebite,
So are you saying that the Scrambler is not as reliable? The Scrambler 500 motor is the most reliable Polaris has. But then again wolverine124 did not specify what size Scrambler he was compairing.

I owned a 95 wolverene... and once i replaced the stock carb, the engine was bulletproof.
But as far as im concerened the rest of it was junk, from the wheel bearings to the swingarm bearings to the "leaky" dim headlites.
I think no grease fittings had a LOT to do with this
