Busted tranny case....don't that suck?
If you felt comfortable with a service manuel and had a little time you could save that $700 bucks, and like I said if all the parts are there you could save $ on the halves buy having them welded. If the are welded make sure that it doesn't leak at the welds by taking some paint thinner and pouring it on 1 side and see if it leaks through,if it does have them to reweld it(should do it for free if you show them that) save a bunch of mola, it was going to be around $600 to fix mine, book and welder=$60 & time=4 hrs.

RookWV, do you know OZ? he's a fab guy that has a shop over buy the trailor park there in Stanaford, he's damn good, I had him alum weld a case on a Honda 400 dirt bike in Nov, charged me 35 bucks, I would take the bike to him and ask him if he can fix it, it don't cost a thing to ask. If you pull off your aftermarket stuff give me a yell, I may be interested in some of it. Go out that road that goes behind the Little General store there in Stanaford and you'll see signs that will take you right to his shop. Fix your bike!
