my friend is getting a 01 scrambler 400 that is fully piped, reeds, clutch kits, K&N filter and jetted propperly. he wants to know if he will come close to a 04 z400 with a full HMF exhuast, K&N intake, power-now vavle, and also jetted well.

what should the outcome be? im guessing the z but who knows?

I raced a 03 Z on my old Scrambler, and it was a 4x4 then....and I beat the Z by a quad. I don't know what was done to the Z at the time.....that should be a good race.

A properly piped,clutched and jetted 400 Scrambler would make a beliver outof your Raptor in a drag race.Now on a track you and the 400z would beat it bad.Now go to the trails and watch the 400 Scrammy shine.

I beat a Z (w/slip on only) with my mods til top gear, by 1 length.

 

If that scramby is dialed in right they run. Against a z400 though? I dont know for sure. I have a scrambler 440 kit for sale with a head, ported 440 cylinder, mikuni flatslide fmf full exhaust jetted and clutched that puts out 65 hp on the dyno. this kit will embarass the z400 and any piped banshee. what would your friend think about that?

 

are you selling the bike or the big bore kit and parts??

how much were ya asking for the 440 kit anyway and why r u selling it? and what kind of fmf is on it, gnarly or fatty and would u sell the exhaust separte?
