I road my 800 for the first time down a trail that has some ruts in it and I hit the corner of the bead-lock ring quite a few times. I now have 1-3 large (1/8-1/4" deep) chunks of aluminum missing from the beat lock ring portion of my front rims. The rear rims are in far enough and did not have a problem with the corners of the bead lock ring hitting anything.
Personally If my machine didn't come with alluminum rims and I was planning on putting aluminum rims on my machine I would NOT buy the 800 Rims unless I had a wider front tire to put on them where the rubber would stick out farther than the rim. Or I would get the ITP rims.

So does this mean you want to get rid of them?

No I don't want to get rid of them, but thats just because they came with the machine without having to spend extra money to get some aluminum rims. In the future when they get completly recked I will not buy them to replace the shot ones I will probably get ITP Rims.
They should have put a Stainless Steel ring around them. If they would have made the ring removable I could have made new aluminum ones with a higher grade of aluminum or stailess Steel ones.
