The oil temp probe wen in the front of the cylinder head, onthe left side of the header. There is a small 1/8" recessed plug in the head that you remove to check oil pressure. That is where it goes. It too is a mech. gauge. Oil travels through a tube to the gauge and reads the pressure.

How much pressure does it produce?

It's a service plug that you put the sensor into?

It is a service plug where you insert the probe at. At idle, there is less that about 3psi. Around 3K+ RPM, it is around 20psi

Guys,
When I remove the probe for the temp gauge is coolant going to pour out? If so, what did you do to prevent it?

Yep coolant everywhere [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I just bough more Polaris premixed antifrezze and added it after.

My dealer (i really trust this guy, he very helpful ... not just out to sell u something) ... said the polaris stuff had something (?like lube? can't remember what he called it) for the cooling system ... he really said it was better (the polaris premix). But if i wanted to use something else to make sure i flushed out all the old stuff before changing.

Put a cork or tapered rubber plug in the hole to prevent excess spillage.
