Glad it's up and running again. Time to take out a few thumpers with the auto

Gap the plug at .022 and that may take care of the problem. Even though you don't have the higher compression I think that will hep, the stock ignition is pretty weak!

Congrats on the race mod Shawn. I got the trail pipe on and the carb set this morning. I'm quite pleased with the results so far. I'll probably have to do a bit more tweeking on the thing but so far it's a huge difference. Thanks for your help Shawn.

I'm glad you got it going Joe. Just a pipe makes a big difference. But I have a feeling you won't be satisfied for long.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I'll try the gap at .022. Is this the correct plug I should use? And did you use the stock ignition when you got your first race mod?

Default New Race Mod Complete :)

The head is a Hotseat 12 to 1 that I had to work on a bit due to shipping damage .

The girdle used is from Aaen performance .

The case saver is from HpD .

The exhaust is a in frame drag pipe from CPI .

The cylinder was broken off at the base , we welded and reinforced it like we do on the polaris 400 . I have repaired MANY of these broken cylinders , I have yet to see one break after we fix it , if anyone has I would sure like to see it so I can improve my method of repair .

Shawn has a very good example of a well tuned pump gas 400 Polaris . If jetted correctly and *listened to* it will run a long time til it needs a set of rings .

is it ok to just re ring things once a year to make it last longer or is that bad for it?

I have a 190 in mine which seems big compared to every one else but maybe its because of the trail pipe?
