27" Bighorns
#1
Anybody out there running 27" Bighorns on their 05 Sportsmans? If so, how do they ride, handle, any clearance or rubbing issues, etc..? I really like the 26" PXTs that came on my new 700 EFI, but would would like to put on something bigger, (especially on the front) while sticking with a radial. I'd like to replace the 589s I have on my 600 with the PXTs. My wife and son will be riding that one now, and while the 589s are awesome in the mud, they kinda make the machine ride like a tractor during normal trail riding. I saw GE4X4's pics of his GNCC 800 (awesome machine, by the way) with what he said were 25" Bighorns, and they looked pretty big. Do these tires generally run big? Haven't really been able to find any specs on em like real outside diameter. Just wondering if I should stick with 26s, or go ahead and move up to 27s. Thanks in advance for any info.

Bighorns are very true to there size. My 25" Bighorns were the same height at the 26" PXT. So the 27" bighorns would be like putting a 28" tire from the other companies. I just got mine on yesterday, so I have not tried them yet.

hey, I don't have the Bighorns but I installed my 27" Mudlites yesterday, I make aluminum spacers to lift the front end up 1", 1 1/2" or 2" when installing larger tires or just to get rid of the sag in the front end to level the quad out, it is really nice when a plow or other accessories are weighing the front end down. you can check out my post that I made. New pics of 27" bigfoot kit and I have a description and pictures of the tires/wheels and the spacers. if your interested I have spacers in the above sizes already made up for sale. make me a reasonable offer if interested.
