Default Starter Problem Trailboss

Lets start will 2001 trailboss 325 starter was rusted bought a rebuild kit cleaned and lubed, spins good, installed new starter solenoid, starter seamed to work but would not turn engine. cleaned and ended up buying a new bendix or starter drive off of ebay installed, engine still does not engage looked at battery connected pos to pos neg to neg. almost seam the starter is tuning backwards. if looking at the starter at the spline end poined twards the body what direction should the motor spin. Or is there different direction bendix seams the way the starter spins if the bedix would engage the engine would try to start backwards since there is a pull start I still can start it for my wife but just **** I like every thing to work the way it should not just get by.

Welcome to the forums.
looking at the splined end your starter should turn clockwise, the same as the engine is turning if running. if its turning the right way, you may need a new starter. the windings in the armature may have a bad place. also, make sure your battery is good. have it checked if in doubt.
