Default New and wanted to say hello

Hi Guys I just bought a 97 sportsman 500 and have been browsing around for tech on this machine. I've got just a few questions

1. Is there an online source for the belt drive cover? my local stealership wants over 130 bucks for the danged thing and mine is warped.

2. Other than basic maint such as oil and tranny fluid changes and lubing is there anything I need to watch out for?

Thanks guys any tech is appreciated.

James.

Oh my 97 has the Ujoints instead of the CV's.

I've read the discussions about them and how people consider the CV's superior but to be honest I think with proper care the Ujoints will hold out better. My gripe with CV's is when the boots get ripped the life of the joint is killed.

James.

Thanks for the welcome guys it's great to find a place like this for my toys.

welcome!

use low when under 10 mph for any extended amount of time and pulling loads or going slow up inclines so you don't warp your new cover like the previous owner.
