Default Timing changes 700

I think I'm going to slot the tabs on the pick up coil like lentech did. I have been meaning to do it for the past week or two but haven't had the time. I'm going on a ride tomorrow so I don't know if I'll have time this weekend.

I'm thinking about slotting the pickup coil. How do you know where to slot them to do this mod?

How can you check the timing to know if you actually did anything? Timing light? I know how a car works. Never did an ATV

I am almost positive that HSP has offset keys to advance timing on our polaris machines, i think with there offset key it will go up 5* advance over stock.

You can slot the pickup coil by slotting the 2 holes that hold it on. I think you slot the holes so you can move the pickup coil to the left (counter clockwise). I will check some old post to make sure and let you know. This should get you 2 to 3 degrees.

COOL, Also how do you check the timing? With a light like a car?

Now to think of it I have the whole complete build book on my machine. Maybe it may say something about the timing and what it should be stock and how to check it....Feel free to chime in on how to do it / check it. I have a 13 week old baby and time to read and search the forums is limited.

Thanks,

Has anyone tried any of these timing mods on a 800EFI?
I was wondering If the F& timming key from AC will still work with the 800 and how far I shoud go?

I have talked with superchips and the tech. seemed to think it would work. Their is supposed to be a revision on their current chip that will adjust the timing. However they said it is in a pecking order with the most popular being first. He said that street bikes are way more popular and they are working on them first. He said maybe within a year. So myself I was going to try it and add a dobeck to adjust the fuel map afterwards. I just don't have time on my hands at the moment. I have a new baby boy, building a garage, and house renovations, and now the grandma is termonaly ill. I am going to try it. However someone may get to it before me.
