Default speedo problems on 500 ho

I have a 2001 sportsman 500 ho and the speedometer quite working. I thought it might be a cable but when i took it apart it doesnt have a cable, everything is electrical. Does anyone know if there is a fuse for this, i looked everywhere and cant find a single fuse on the quad. Any information would be appreciated.

If everything else works but the speedometer needle then its probably your Hall effect sensor and it's down next to your right front wheel. It counts the holes in your rotor. Take it off and clean it and see if that helps. If everything has stoped working in your speedometer then the speedometer probably needs replaced.

The speedometer lights up but the odometer does'nt work either. Do you think it could still be the sensor by the wheel? I took it apart and cleaned it but it still dont work. I guess i will have to get a new one

If the time meter is still counting and just the speedo needle don't its the Halo sensor most likely.
You can try cleaning it but it probably needs to be replaced, I'm on my third one.

the OEM P/N for my 02 700 is 4010298
go to www.polarisOEMparts.com
they are discounted at around $42 (cheepest I've found).
