New Pics ! 700 Sportsman " Turbo "
Were going to add an MSD " Universal Boost Timing Master " for ignition control
It gives us the ability to remove timing in 1, 2, or 3 degrees increments per pound of boost
It works with the stock ignition system by intercepting the signal to the coil and delaying it in reference to boost via the use of a built in MAP sensor
We've decided to hang the Turbo right off the front at the " Y " pipe and retain the OEM air box
The concern we had in locating in front was " Thermal Shock " if it suddenly became submerged in water , but plan to have the Turbo housing " Ceramic Coated " to provide a thermal barrier for protection

great idea with mounting it at the Y pipe, theres still plenty of protection behind that radiator and stuff. be sure to put in a K&N air filter!
another thing that you could do for that engine is to put a 40mm carb on, and putting the sportsman 800 header on, but that would interfere with the turbo mounting location, i dont know if that would even help since the back pressure is what makes the turbo work.
