Hi folks - new guy with questions
Don't get me wrong ... my local dealer does all my maintenance and i buy all my parts from him and all a round great guy!
BUT ... he's a small shop and couldn't make it on such little markup on an ATV.
Yes i did go to him and said ... look here, what can you do ... he came down but not enough.
Looks to me like they are selling them at cost ... and their profit is from the 5% Polaris hold back.

Hi folks - new guy with questions
nobody will usually come close to the prices at chattanooga....
pull start would be nice, but usually not necessary....
As far as the EFI....great thing to have, whether you have to run in the cold or high altitudes....just great to have....even in 50 degree weather a machine that has a carb has to be warmed up....the efi has no choke, its start and go....
for the uses you are talking about, the 500 should work for your needs, but the 700 and 800 EFI are awesome machines with lots of power....

Hi folks - new guy with questions
20045sp500ho just for the record. I would make that same trip to save that type of money. I missed out on getting a great price on my trailblazer. My brother unknown to me was in chattonoga tn for 3 days on business. I so could of had him pick me up a TB. 2 weeks later after his trip I bought my TB, and payed a couple of hundred more.

Hi folks - new guy with questions
IMHO if you are the kind of guy that will mod things, espesially for speed and performance then you need to get the biggest one you could afford.
I you get the 500 and mod it you should have spent the extra $300 and got the 600 or same with the 700 get the 700efi or the 800efi.
The benefit of the EFI is no need to rejet for mods, temp or altitude. Start up and go even in the coldest weather, with minimal time to allow the oil to flow. If not needed for altitude or cold weather its always nice for the ease of use and the extra performance, and there is a differance. A 700 modded with $600 will still not be as fast as the 700EFI.
I bought the biggest i could get at the time (Late '01) and they keep getting bigger and better.
Personally i would not get anything other than the 700 EFI or 800 EFI is i purchase again.
You will be happy with any Polaris!
welcome aboard,
Jim
