Where's a good place to buy a gps holder? I don't want to pay 100 for one. Thanks.

I got my "Ram" brand mounts for my Garmin etrex gps for my truck and atv from cabelas. I think they are a lot stronger and more solid/stable than the Garmin brand mounts. you can get the garmin munts from gander mountain or bass pro shop I think.

Amazon.com has a bicycle type mount for the etrex for about $14 don't see why it won't work on a quad for the price it's worth a shot.

Yes those work, BUT... You need a square place on the bars in order for it to be all that viewable. And it vibrates too much to read while moving. The RAM mounts are made to vibrate and you can read the GPS while on the move. They are also very adjustable for angle.

Check it out - I just did it today. I took the RAM base mount (circle w/ rubber ball) and its diameter is the same as my gas cap in the center of the tank. Used liquid nail cauk and cauked it to the top of the cap. The adjustable arm will clamp right over the ball - so it's easy to remove when you need to fill up. The rubber ball takes all the viberating from the machine. No problem veiwing when it's right in front of you on the tank and not turning like your bars. The only thing is I have an Artic Cat so hopefully your cap is in a similar area. Unit will cost $29-39 - Bass Pro or go on line and buy it direct. Good Luck
