More top speed on sp twins
Hi, you said you listed some suggestions but I can't find them. Please email them to me. My email is rsardinskas@iwon.com thankyou for the help. I'm 200 lbs... I like the way the heelclickeers work down low, it really pulls hard but tops out at 60 mph and takes a long run to get there. I'm interested in your set up...03 700 polaris thanks again...

More top speed on sp twins
Did some playing with my clutch yesterday on my SP700
Tried a Dalton spring with similar specs to the oem polaris Blue/Green , but longer , and stock 20/56 weights , engagement speed was about 2000 rpm and under full throttle rpm's stayed around 6000 and toped out at 65 mph
Tried a polaris " Black " spring , same 20/56 weights , engagement speed was 2400 , the clutch came in pretty quick beyond the first 20-25 mph and it would lug the motor down pulling through the rpm range even more than the stock blue/green , it toped out at the same 65 mph , but less rpm ,5500 [ just not enough HP to pull any faster ] but it did hit the tires pretty good off the line and wheel stood real easy
Tried a set of 10/58 weights with the black spring , engagment was around 2200 , the clutch came in real quick beyond 20 mph and held the rpms to 5000-5200 pulling through the range , it did'nt backshift well , and would lug the motor heavily on re-acceleration out of a corner
Tried the Dalton spring again with the 10/58's , engagement was 1800 , this combo held the rpm's 5900 pulling through the range , toped out at 5900 at 65mph , backshifted well , and still wheelstands pretty good , so I stayed with this combo
When we get the turbo on I'll probibly try the black spring again cause it loaded the engine well through the range because of it's lower spring rate and high preload should allow high stall speed to get the turbo spooled quickly
