Need help with a Polaris wiring problem

Newer machines have a shunt built into the electrical system to keep from burning bulbs when a battery blows a cell or is disconected.

ChopperBill, I hope you speak for all manufacturers of new ATV's, as you stated. But if you're wrong, what are we going to do about it? :0)
