Default Predator Withdrawals!!!

I traded my 04 Predator in for my SP800. I did this because on the Predator I rode it hard and by the end of the ride I was beat. Getting near 40 I figured I'm getting to old to keep doing this, so I got the 800. Now the 800 I can ride all day and not feel beat at all, even riding very aggressive in GNCC racing. However, even tho I don't get beat on the 800, I had MUCH more fun on the Predator. Yes the fun factor on the Predator was 2nd to none. Even tho I was beat and tired, the thrill of power and handeling is what I miss. I follow my brother on his Predator with my 800 and it looks like he is having way more fun then I am. I might have to sell the KQ since I use the 800 a lot more and the wife doesn't ride much and get another. The TLD sure looks like it would fit well where the KQ is parked. And now with reverse, it will help the old bones from working to hard. Anybody want a KQ 700.

It looks like a TLD will be coming my way. I also am looking at getting a well known Predator that is set up perfect for my type of riding. Just waiting for more details. Hopefully will know in the next few days. If all goes good, I could have a Pred as good as Smiley's.

GE,
There are some big differences bet. the 04 and the 05 TLD...I don't think it will hurt your back anymore!! I used to have an 03..then a YFZ w/ Elkas, now the TLD. This suspension rules...by far the best suspension on a stock machine I have ever been on, I would even go as far to say they are equivalent to my Elkas....- rebound adjustment and triple rates in the front...but a guy could add the triple rates. I had thought about a 450R...went riding with a quad motocrosser on his 450r and my pred...never met him. I didn't take the sick air he would but I would be back on his butt through braking bumps, whoops, and in the corners...he wanted to know how...why? I said lets switch. First off...glad I didn't get kick start...anyway...The TLD suspension...you don't even feel braking bumps or 8" washouts...I braced and felt nothing...it was unreal. When riding the honda...it almost put me over the bars at the same speed. We stopped switched back and he said he was blown away at those shocks...He immediately started figuring out that the stock 450R shocks aren't as great as he thought...HA! Agreed, the pred isn't the great motocrosser...but I've gained a lot more confidence and speed in the woods...can't wait for the Iowa Harescramble series...2 more weeks!

Pudl, glad to see you back on the dark side. I have heard the TLD suspension is 2nd to none compared to other stock suspension, but being close to Elka's sounds awesome. How do you like the close ratio tranny? I woods race too, so your feedback would be very helpful. What do you plan on doing to it as far as mods for this up-coming season? How would you compare it to your YFZ that you had? Can't wait to try one.
