I would not worry about the rectifier. The cdi box for the 05 has a different plug in, then the 03 & 04. I have been waiting for Doug to get his out. I called Dyna and they said they are on back order and they should be out in a couple of weeks. I know Dougs makes a big difference! You do not want to buy one of e-bay. Doug's, Dyna, & Vortex will raise the rev limiter and change the power curve.

The power curve will be through out the entire power band. So 1-5 gear it will scream. I got the turn down tip from Doug, he only has a few, and they will not be any more made. You will have 10,600 rev limiter. You should not be able to hit it. I have 2 buddy's the the cdi box, and they have never hit it yet.

If Doug ever gets them out.......I will have one for sure. I would love to get his, the cost is $150.00, and the Dyna is like $325.00. But I will have one or the other in a few months for sure.

I really don't know what to think! I would much rather have a port and polish job done. They are other ways to get better trottle response and have it rev alittle bit faster then shaving the flywheel. I would never do it, but thats just me.

I would think making it run more RPM's would put so ware on the engine. But as long as you don't hit them RPM's alot, I think you will be fine. My buddy's have Doug CDI box and I don't think they are putting any extra ware on the engine.....just because how they ride. They don't try to hit the 10,500 rev limiter every time they shift. Just be careful if you get one, another thing if you are hitting you limiter now alot you are doing more damage to it, then running higher RPM's.
