What springs for a 02 TrailBoss 325?

I've gone through everything on this bike but the transmission. Adjusting the valves, cleaning everything, tightening the chain, and changing the fluids, really seeming to make it run better, and quieter. Now I'm just wondering if I can get a little more kick outta it. When I took the CVT cover off, I noticed a big blue spring on what I think was the primary. What should I change the spring(s) to for better acceleration? And also, how do I do it? Seems like everyone says it takes like 15 minutes so I'd love to try it. I'd love to try this on my Scrambler too, but for me, for now, its got great power.

The Polaris white primary is very popular. It will give you better take off and a little better mid to top end. I just took my Polaris white out and put in an EPI pink spring. This spring kicks a$$. It takes off a little stronger but then pulls alot harder mid to top end. I gained 7mph on the top with 800rpm gain. I really like this spring. I do alot of slow trails with rocks so I did not want a spring that would rev too much to take off. The white revs a little higher than stock but not as strong in the mid to top as the pink.

Thinking about changing to white myself. Can't remember what came with the RCR kit, but the original blue was what I took out. I noticed a top end loss, so I'm ready for the change. Matt, it's really not that hard to change the spring, and it does only take about fifteen minutes.

I just helped my nephew put in a Green Polaris primary. It has some better punch now. You aren't going to get night & day results from just changing the primary. A full kit is needed for that. But anything is better than stock.

The dalton black with white stripe is what I have been putting in all the 4 stroke quads. Great spring. Also you can put on a white brothers scrambler 500 slip on on it and pull wheelies on black top. You must do some carb mods.

When I get home tonight, I'll scan the pages from the service manual and post them. Basically it's take the cover off, and you'll see six bolts around the edge of the drive clutch. Take those off, slide it off and change the spring. While you have the cover off, you may want to check the cover gasket. You can buy another or use silicone sealer if it's worn. Also make sure the snorkel for the cover get sealed. You can go to Polairs and go to the bottom of the page. You see manuals and brochures down there. Click on that and you can download a parts manual and get an idea of what you're looking at.

Oops! That's one of minor things I forgot to mention. Ya spend an hour pulling on the clutch, wondering why it won't come off. When I'm working on something and it seems like it should work, but it ain't, that's when I qualify for the Olympic Wrench Toss event.

No prob., just trying to help too. It sounds as though these guys are nervous as it is, so the more help the merrier.
OH!!! And don't forget to scribe one of the 3 sides on the primary cover, as well as the clutch to make sure it goes on the exact same way it came off.
AND Scootergptx, check back often. I posted pics. in my profile.
