Default 800 EFI Suspension upgrade

I am looking into replacing the rear springs on my Polaris 800 EFI. It feels very mushy and as soon as you get on the throttle, it sinks in the rear. Anyone have any ideas on upgrades for this problem. I'm also a pretty big guy at 270 lbs, but I notice the same problem on this machine with small riders as well. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Don

did you try adjusting the preload first?

Progressive makes fronts and possibley rears. Check HSP or Aaen.

You turn the ring-like things on the bottom of the spring. As your turn it, it has like steps on it, so each turn applies more pressure to the springs. Hard to explain, but if you look, you will see the adjusters on the bottom of the springs. There should be a tool in your toolkit that adjusts them, I think.

I have just ordered HD springs for my 03 700 right from the polaris dealer. I hope that they are better than standard springs. Mine sags bad with no load on it. I cranked up the preload adjustment and it's a lot better now. I do, however, want to upgrade the shocks/springs. To be honest, and I'm not looking to take heat for saying this, I want it to ride more like the Rincon but a bit tighter. In other words, I want less marshmellow and more stability.

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be very helpful. Thanks.
