Front Wheel Drive on a '94 400L...
Hiya guys, whilst I'm waiting for my rebore to be done I'm going to get the rest of the bike in tip-top condition...
How do I test the front wheel drive system on my 4x4? Even more to the point, where is it and how does it work???!??
I've got a Haynes manual, but it doesn't cover the front wheel drive system!
Thanks in advance...

A search would really help you out here, the AWD system is pretty difficult to explain. This comes up a lot, so you should have no problem finding information.
In a peanutshell, the AWD uses overrun clutches, so the front wheels mechanically engage once the rear ones slip. The clutches are located in the front hubs. When the back wheels slip, they go faster than the front, and those hubs lock in and drive the front wheels, until the rears regain traction and begin propelling you again, then the front hubs unlock and you go back to 2wd. The front wheels are only powered when they are needed, making steering the same in 2wd or AWD (when you have traction).
