sprtmn 500 tie rod problem
#11
....so if i try turning them upside down. do i need to re-adjust anything? any problems with the rod bending or breaking that you had/heard? it sounds like it would work....i think turning them upside down would bring them to just under the rim lip and out of the way....Well this friday morn i'll be wrenching on it and i think the fastest and easy one would be to try this right away....i may even put 1/2 inch spacer's on just for good measure.
...anybody know where to pick up longer lug nut posts...i have "homemade" hub covers for my front tires...the front hub sticks out ever so slightly and the cap is very easy to break if you hit a rock...you loose that "spit" full of tranny fluid in the hub, not to mention all the dirt in there and you have some problems....good friend of mine is a welder and has made many sets for polaris riders. However, the new models do not have this problem i think they sit back more in the rim.

I have never tried turning mine upside down just heard about it on the fourms one day and it cured the guys problem. I don't think you would have to adjust any thing just turn them over. I hope it works for you.
