The May '05 ATV Mag has a nice review of the Phoenix and a 500 class shootout in which the Sportsman wins (again), that’s two in a row. They said "it has the best suspension, storage and it’s the fastest" (including the Vinson). "Its just plain fun!"

Also I got another picture in the letters section (page 12), they totally hacked the text but the picture looks good. Too bad its not of my sp700 or my Scrammy.

Make that 3 shootouts in a row for the SP500.
It beat the Vinson in the May 05 ATV Rider mag shootout.

In this one they said the Vinson won in a drag race, contrary to the other two shootouts.

I thought I read that the BF 650 kicked but in the under $6,500 range.

 

Yes the BF650 did win in the under $6,500 range, but out of all the 500cc quads, the SP500 is the winner.

That was my buddies Rancher out in San Diego CA on our trip to Big Bear Lk.

that's about the third time in ATV Mag and 2 or 3 in DW.
I Send many for a better chance of getting in. Never able to get into the troubleshooting /wrench this sections.
