That's just insane. I've been away from atving for a few years, 65 mph 4x4's are the norm now I take it. Shoot I remember when 500's ruled the 4x4 world, now they are considered small!

Welcome to 2005, the prices keep going up and the competition gets more intense. It's all good for us the consumers to have the number of choices we now have.....

FlintGeneralsFan,
I hear you about those monstrous utilities. My "small" 500 is not considered much with 650-700+ machines. Maybe I should go back to my SP335. It is crazy that a lot of the big bores have a top speed over 65mph. Just think a SP800 weight 765lbs without any gas, oil, coolant, etc in it. Just a 800+lb cow flying at close to 70mph. Not much danger there.
- I am not trying to offend anybody here. - *Please don't be insulted.*

Common sense and throttle control is the key on any machine regardless of size or speed. Many of the flagship models have more refined feature/options not available on smaller units which make them more desirable to many riders. I initially was planning on getting a 700EFI but with the changes/upgrades the 800 has over the 700 I decided to go with it instead. Top speed was never a concern as the legal riding where I go won't allow much high mph riding. I've always liked strong engines so instead of buying a smaller unit and then adding mods to try to improve the output (as many people do) go big and leave it stock. It's cheaper and more relaible in the long run IMO....

Hey Fineline. how fast is your Lightning. you ever race it. How fast in an 1/8 or in a 1/4. I got a Crewcab Duramax that goes like a scared rabbit.
